Saturday Morning Serial is the weekend section of Library Binding. It’s a personal corner where I publish short stories, book reviews, and literary musings.
It’s Easter weekend, and I struggled to land on a topic for today’s newsletter. My words cannot do justice to the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. I’ll leave it to him to refresh you as we reach the culmination of this season of remembrance.
So, instead of proffering the usual booklist, essay, or story, I decided to do something different.
I’d like to ask you a few questions.
Indeed. I have prepared a gloriously fun and indulgent survey.
I promise an enchanting survey experience that exceeds your undoubtedly high expectations of surveys in general.
Your responses will help shape what I do with this Substack.
I write Library Binding because I want to showcase authors and introduce them to people who love to read. I write Saturday Morning Serial because I believe books and stories are meaningful. But at the end of the day, I write it for you.
Your feedback will help me feel my way forward.
As a token of thanks, I will reward three randomly selected respondents with a lifetime supply of chocolate.
Hang on, no...my husband is telling me no. He's waving his hands and violently shaking his head.
The reward will be—a mystery packet. ✉️ Three people will get an envelope filled with paper-and-ink delights from yours truly.
The survey closes on April 29, and I will announce the winners on May 1.
Before you go, I want to thank you for allowing me to connect with you.
From the depths of my heart, thank you for being here.
Thank you for being someone who reads in this foolhardy era of distraction.
Thank you for being someone who thinks in this shallow world of the infinite scroll.
Thank you for being human in this gormless age of artificial embrace. Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Your devoted,
Michelle
Fun!
