Meet Annie Beth Donahue, Author and CBO of Bandersnatch Books
A literary meet-'n'-greet in 10 pictures or less
Welcome back!
Today, I asked Annie Beth Donahue, middle grade author and CBO of Bandersnatch Books, to answer a few fun questions about herself, her writing, and her latest mystery novel.
Annie Beth’s life is rich in ministry work, and I hope you enjoy getting to know her.
Annie Beth Donahue is the Chief Business Officer for Bandersnatch Books, but she wears a lot of other hats.
She is a homeschooling mom of four, project manager for the family business, and Salesforce Administrator for JAARS.
She and her husband are the founders of Signposts Ministries (a nonprofit that serves families that have children with special healthcare needs) as well as the Children's Directors at their church.
Annie Beth has experience writing articles, staff trainings, and web copy (and has also been the editor for several nonfiction books), but has enjoyed turning her focus toward fiction—especially middle grade mysteries. She is the author of No Clues, You Lose: A Joey Jacobs Mystery, published by Bandersnatch Books in 2022.
Annie Beth answers a few fun questions
I used to climb a ladder and sit on the roof of a grain bin, alone. I’m pretty sure that would not be considered safe nowadays. On the bright side, it was on my grandparents’ property, so I wasn’t trespassing.

No Clues, You Lose: A Joey Jacobs Mystery
Feb. 2022,
When her wheelchair basketball team's uniforms go missing, Joey Jacobs takes the lead to solve the mystery with the help of her friends and family. In the process, she catches the perpetrator of a city-wide crime spree and learns how to be a better team player on and off the court.
The first version was in third person (more of an omniscient). The second version was in a close third with multiple characters’ POV rotating chapters. Finally, I rewrote it in first person—which was transformational.
Just because your story is realistic doesn’t mean it has to be boring. My stories are fun and engaging because they ring true for my audience.
