Welcome back, friends!
I can’t wait for you to meet Carolyn Givens, author of character-driven fantasy and cofounder of
.She’s an extrovert, a world traveler, and the owner of a cat with (quite possibly) the best name ever.
And now, I’ll let Carolyn take it away!
All About Carolyn
I’m a displaced Northerner exploring the foreign ways of the South. I work in communications at New City Church in North Carolina, handling much of the stuff that goes on screens or paper (or signs, or T-shirts, or pens, or mugs…).
I’m also one of the founders of Bandersnatch Books, a small press publisher dedicated to publishing treasures found off the beaten path for lovers of all that is Good, True, and Beautiful. As Chief Executive Officer, I speak, edit, create social media posts, and schmooze about all things Bandersnatch.
I live in Charlotte with my literary cat, Lord Peter Wimsey. I’ve previously bumped around the world, both as a missionary kid and an adult. I was part of the publishing process for more than 30 books before launching Bandersnatch. I’m the author of Rosefire, published by Bandersnatch Books in 2021, and The King’s Messenger, released as a new edition by Bandersnatch in 2022.
Note: In case you don’t know, Harriet Vane is a character from the Lord Peter Wimsey novels by Dorothy Sayers. Ashton Pelham-Martyn is the protagonist of The Far Pavilions, a novel steeped in British-Indian history by M. M. Kaye. Adam Eddington is a character that appears in both the Austin and O’Keefe family series by Madeleine L'Engle.
I have THOUGHTS about Bale v. Chalamet: I will go with Christian Bale in every scene EXCEPT the proposal scene in which Timothée Chalamet absolutely knocks his performance out of the park and should have won every award—plus, there’s no gross spit kiss.

A fascinating reader & writer!
Carolyn Givens is pretty awesome (and I’d think that even if she wasn’t my little sister 😆).
