Welcome back!
Today, I’m so excited to introduce you to Sarah.
She’s written a picture book for the littlest of little kids: an A-B-C book. (You can’t have enough of these when your kids are babies, am I right?) She even named the tiny protagonist after her son.
Sarah lives in Australia, where wild platypuses splash around in the dam behind her house. When she’s not writing, reading, or playing the flute with her band, you can find her working at the local hospital.
And now, Sarah will take it from here…
All About Sarah
I am a pharmacist working in rural Australia. I love music, crochet, trains, nature, cats, and being creative.
When I am not working or being a mum, I volunteer with the local folk festival and historic railway, and I play in a pirate band.
My book, Jack’s Noisy Day, is based on my son Jack, who is a very happy and cheeky little boy, and was created in honour of his first birthday.
Jack’s Noisy Day was recently announced as a second-place winner in the International Firebird Book Awards (2nd quarter, 2024) in the ‘Children Pre-school Ages 2-4’ category.
I love physical books, but ebooks have been my saviour while having a newborn!

Books that Sarah read and loved
The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams
Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert
Six Sacred Stones by Matthew Reilly
The Secret Runners of New York by Matthew Reilly. This is a bit more horror/thriller than his other books. I found it chilling and just had to find out what happens. I kept thinking about it long after I finished it.
Everyone on This Train Is a Suspect by Benjamin Stevenson. I love trains so am hooked by anything train-related. Add a murder trying to be solved by a carriage full of crime authors. A very entertaining read!
The Secret Keeper by Kate Morton. I love all of Kate’s books. There is always a twist at the end. This time I thought I had figured it out. But then there was a second twist that came out of nowhere. One of my favourites.

A pirate band—that’s fantastic! And I love Hitchhikers Guide.
