Thank you for sharing this difficult story, Michelle. Despite the sadness of it, your friend’s experience is a reminder and encouragement that Jesus is so, so real, and he’ll never hide from those who seek him.
What a tragic story, I’m so sorry you and your family had to witness this. Thank you for sharing with such honesty, truth, and compassion and for honoring the dignity of this man in your recount. As always, you have handled a challenging topic with kindness and clarity.
I can relate to your friend Jen. I struggle at times with intense depression and sometimes suicidal ideation. In the darkest moments, knowing someone is there and that they care and that they are praying on my behalf when it’s hard to pray for myself—that is such a gift and a literal life saver.
Thank you so much for sharing that Kendra. I think so many people struggle in silence but praying for each other is so powerful. I have been the recipient of those types of prayers, too.
Impactful story. Sorry you had to experience that. We are all just one moment away from bumping up against mortality. Life is truly as a vapor and each moment is both a gift and an opportunity. ❤️
Yes! Even though it was a terrible event, it reminded me of how important it is for me to not wait and reach out to people in my life who might need extra.
Thank you for this post Michelle. So, so hard. I know this will stay with you and that Christ will use it in your life to help others! He restores and redeems, and will do it in you and those around you. 💔❤️
Yes, we have a high suicide rate in our area due to many factors, and so many struggle. Seeing that very public act reminded me of the private struggles that are happening around me all the time.
Michelle, this is powerful on so many levels. Such hurt. Such sadness. But God...But hope...Asking, "how are you doing?" a second time and waiting for the answer. Believing the Gospel and sharing the Gospel. The memory of this tragedy may linger, but the focus shifts on those who are still able to hear. You have a Story to tell. We all do.

Yes! I was so encouraged by my talk with her and so grateful that she’d share that part of herself with me.

Knowing you, I find it hard to imagine that you don’t do this already 🥰
Oh my. Lord have mercy, Christ have mercy.
Yes, that is all we can ask for.
This is very powerful! 🙏🏼🙌🏼❤️
Thank you, Sara.

Yes, I am so grateful for that.
I'm very sorry you experienced that. I've known people who have attempted, and someone who died, but actually witnessing it is heart-wrenching
