I chuckled when you said you do math in your day job. I tutored math for years in college. I was an English major with ZERO interest in math, but in all my education-related side jobs, I was constantly tutoring Dreaded Math. (Thankfully, it wasn't advanced math!) I really need to read I Cheerfully Refuse. I loved Peace Like a River, which I immediately handed to my brother-in-law, who really enjoyed it, too.
