I've been following the From Our Bookshelf blog since 2019 and appreciate Lynn and Gracelyn's honest book reviews. Countless times when I've been in a bookshop or the library unsure of what to read next, I've pulled up their blog and found such great recommendations. One of my favorite things is Lynn's "Nonfiction Book for Every State" challenge!
I didn't read Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings until I was an adult. My first job was at a B. Dalton bookstore across from the food court at our local mall, and my very first day was the day that the fourth HP book came out. I had never heard of HP before, but I had to wear a cape, plastic glasses, and a lightning bolt tattoo on my forehead. 😂😂😂
I love Lynn’s literary pet peeve! I’ll have to check out her historical fiction references, as it sounds like she knows what to look for.
