I love that your mom and third-grade teacher nudged you toward books. My fourth-grader loves to read blurby nonfiction books, but chapter books still kind of intimidate him. The Wall of Text on the page isn't as visually exciting as a full-color spread about the solar system or the great white shark. But, I'm confident that one day his love of stories will drive him to those oh-so good novels.
